VENN's origin, the spirit of sincere and sincere manufacturing and harmony inherited by the Iwate factory

The Iwate Factory, the origin and origin of VENN Co., Ltd., is located in Yahaba Town, which is rich in nature and is surrounded by mountains and the Kitakami River in the central part of Iwate Prefecture. Although it is conveniently located a 3-minute walk from JR Yahaba Station, it is a large-scale, state-of-the-art factory with a site area of over 20,000 square meters and a building area of over 9,000 square meters. The plant, which was completely renewed in 2017, is equipped with a production system and test equipment that are not ashamed of the name of a pioneer of automatic valve makers, and the building is arranged in an L shape from northwest to southwest. We aimed to create a factory that is friendly to workers from production to delivery, such as a collection port that enables efficient loading and unloading by heavy-duty trucks, without burdening the neighborhood, and with the minimum environmental load and maximum efficiency.

In the renewal, we focused on seismic retrofitting by making use of the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake. When designing the factory building, we focused on improving work efficiency, as well as improving employee safety and security, as well as increasing motivation. Various attempts were made to realize a better working environment in this way, and the new Iwate Factory was born.

Acceptance inspection area

Acceptance inspection area

Castings and processed parts delivered by suppliers are rigorously inspected to ensure that they all meet the standards correctly, including quantity, dimensions, appearance, and specifications, and only acceptable products are stored in the material warehouse.

Machine work area

Machine work area

The parts stored in the material warehouse are sent to the machining process according to the manufacturing plan. The delivered parts will be further improved in accuracy by various processing techniques and the hands of engineers.

Assembly work area

Assembly work area

We manufacture products according to two schedules: planned production based on market forecasts and build-to-order production based on customer orders. Each product is assembled by careful work through human hands.

Test area

Test area

All products are subjected to operation tests and external leak tests in accordance with standards. This is because VENN's products, which have been active for a long time without being seen by human eyes, require absolute safety and reliability.

The first president who stood up to save employees in Japan, using his own hometown as the hometown of the company, rushing the way to revitalization

In 1950, when Japan began its path to reconstruction after the war, VENN's predecessor, Fushiman Valve Mfg. Co., Ltd.'s first president, Kun Sada, headed to his hometown of Iwate. This is because our predecessor, Fushiman Seisakusho Co., Ltd., was dissolved due to severe inflation, despite the special demand for reconstruction and the Korean War. In Iwate, there was a factory of Fushiman Seisakusho. During the war, Fushiman Seisakusho, which was involved in the production of parts at the request of the Ministry of the Navy, was ordered to evacuate the head office factory and evacuated to Iwate, the hometown of Kun.
Employees of the Iwate factory eagerly aspired to restart the business and urged the establishment of a new company, but Kun continued to resign. In the turbulent times, I decided to cut my hands on all the businesses in view of the difficult situation. However, touching on the firm unity and determination of employees and their families, on November 27, 1950, "Fushiman Valve Mfg. Co., Ltd." with all 73 employees as shareholders, opened in Yahaba-cho, Shiwa-gun, Iwate Prefecture (currently Iwate Factory). Was born in.
We never gave up even in the predicament of not even paying our employees, and our employees also supported the company with one heart. I want to give a bonus to everyone. I would like to give dividends to shareholders. I want to get rid of chopped salaries. It was in 1957 that the vow to achieve the three wishes was fulfilled. In 1959, the Iwate Factory was designated as a JIS display licensed factory for heating radiator valves.
The early approval of the Minister of International Trade and Industry (currently the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry) in the industry is probably the result of continuous business activities based on technological research. After that, we will work to further strengthen our production capacity, both in terms of equipment and personnel. At that time, the Iwate factory had a mixture of steel and wooden parts, and there was a remnant of the initial establishment. In addition, each employee is basically assigned to a general-purpose machine, and productivity is greatly influenced by individual skills.
After that, we developed excellent products one after another, including the "Silence" series (pressure reducing valve for water) and the "Benten" series (pressure reducing valve for steam). Focusing on human resource development, we also held study sessions at the Iwate Factory with the aim of creating and inheriting a trusted VENN brand.

The Great East Japan Earthquake (March 11, 2011) was one of the major turning points for the Iwate Factory in such a long history. Fortunately, there was no human damage throughout the company, and although the Iwate Factory suffered damage such as machine tools and production equipment shifting and tilting, load collapse in the warehouse, and some floor collapses, the entire company and all bases were united. Through these efforts, we achieved an early recovery of production activities.
Taking this great earthquake as an opportunity, the renewal of the Iwate factory and Sagamihara factory was planned. The Iwate Factory has realized equipment and systems that smoothly and reliably carry out the process from receiving materials to production, testing, and shipping by consolidating the buildings that had been divided into several buildings into an office building and a factory building due to repeated building expansion. And greatly improve work efficiency. Of course, as a top priority, we have fully equipped seismic equipment to ensure the safety and security of our employees.

A reliable network covering the whole country realizes quick product delivery and detailed follow-up.
