A SHASE-S003 compliant sleeve type expansion joint that absorbs the axial expansion and contraction of the pipe caused by temperature changes. It is used for main piping for high-rise buildings, district heating and cooling, plants, factories, hospitals, etc., as well as for ground subsidence countermeasures and earthquake countermeasures.

Frequently Asked Questions and Explanations

Can the direction of rotation be absorbed?

The sleeve type can also absorb the shaft rotation of the pipe. (The bellows type cannot be absorbed and the bellows will be damaged.)

Is the amount of pipe elongation constant regardless of the nominal diameter?

Since the amount of elongation is determined by the temperature difference, it is constant regardless of the nominal diameter of the pipe. However, it depends on the type of pipe (steel, copper, stainless steel).

Is there a rule on whether to use a single type or a double type of expansion joint?

There is no rule. It doesn't matter which one you choose, as long as you select the number of pipes that matches the amount of expansion and contraction of the pipe.
