VD-7N type
View favorites See the comparison
The VD-7N type pressure type vacuum breaker has a function to automatically introduce air into the negative pressure part in order to prevent the reverse siphon action of the water supply system, and it is used for the piping part where water pressure is constantly applied but no reverse pressure is applied. It is a vacuum breaker.

Major features

  • A float structure is used for the intake mechanism. When water is flowing, it is closed securely, and when negative pressure is generated, air is introduced promptly to prevent backflow due to reverse siphon action.
  • Uses a spring system that closes the valve before backflow.
  • By guiding the intake port connection pipe to the drainage ditch, the surroundings will not be polluted even in the unlikely event of a valve leak.
  • Equipped with a test cock as standard, you can check the functions of the check valve and intake valve while the piping is connected.

Frequently Asked Questions and Explanations

What is the purpose of the water vacuum breaker?

The vacuum breaker sucks air when the upstream side becomes negative pressure and prevents the backflow from the downstream side due to the reverse siphon action.

Does the vacuum breaker have an initial exhaust function like an intake / exhaust valve?

There is no exhaust function.

Can it be installed in buried piping?

The vacuum breaker draws in air, so avoid installing it in the ground where it may be submerged.
